WOW, 5 stars - the best tacos and cocktails we have had in Mexico. Went here on a really quiet evening in the town. The food was fresh and the service fantastic. We have tried other places for tacos in Bacalar and these are by far the tastiest & most enjoyable. The bar is a cool vibe also. Please visit Xolo if you are looking for proper Tacos & great Cocktails.
Food here was some of the best we have had in Mexico. Best nachos I have ever had! Prices were not the cheapest but fair, you get what you pay for. Portions size of meals were big also. Highly recommend this place if you cant get a seat at Mr.Taco across the road. Only slightly annoying thing was that they blasted music very loud at 6.30pm but this seems like common practice in Mexico.
Incrediiiible food! And get the daiquiri it’s a must - they use the actual fruits instead of a mix. 20/10!! I’m telling you... you do not want to miss this, you will regret it. Pablo kindly served us and give us great recommendation . I got their special, the costras de queso with chicken and my friend got the burrito w chicken... delicious !! Had the BEST BURRITO EVER there! On our 2 weeks roadtrip through Mexico we had a burrito almost every day and this one here was the clear cut favourite! Otherwise the drinks (delicious cocktails) were grand and the atmosphere as well (good music)!
Great place, nice terrace, staff, music. Food was the biggest surprise - really good portions, affordable prices and it taste amazing, much better than most of other places we tried especially when it comes to value for money.
Just arrived in Bacalar at night, hungry and tired, with my husband and toddler. Wow, this place far exceeded our expectations and if this is a representation of what Bacalar has to offer, we're in for a treat! Delicious tacos (chicken and beef), outstanding passionfruit smoothie, great vibe, SUCH kind and friendly staff! The music was great, the other guests were so nice, the patio seating was comfortable and the place has a great overall ambiance. Reasonable prices, open late. Our toddler approved of the tacos and wanted more - wow we are so grateful! He danced the evening away and we had such a nice welcome to Bacalar. We will definitely be back to this eatery!
Leaving a review while we're here. Such a VIBE. We traveled to Bacalar from New Orleans, and felt right at home here... Which says a lot we're used to great food, service , and vibes. Food was GREAT, drinks were great, servers all were DOPE, and the atmosphere is beach bar meets dive bar meets nice bar, and there's an open pool table. 10/10 stop by this place if you want a good time and good food!
Loved this place! We ate here 2 evenings in a row and would do it more if we didn't have to leave. Everything we tried was delicious, generous portions, and cool not-typical salsas. The service was super friendly and nice, and generally there were very good vibes. Absolutely loved everything!
